'What's in your Head?'

PLEASE READ!!

Well this was actually drawn on Tuesday night at around 3:30am hence why it's not brilliant. But that night I was so afraid and upset about the riots going on across the country in places such as London, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Leeds and Nottingham.

Nobody really knows why these riots have spread across the country but it all seemed to start on Saturday after there was a peaceful protest in Tottenham over the fact that a policeman had shot dead a young man called Mark Duggan.It was a peaceful protest but some ****heads decided to get violent and started rioting.

This then spread to areas across London on Sunday and Monday night. And then for some reason the riots spread to other areas in England such as Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and Nottingham. Some people say that the spreading of these riots has nothing to do with the shooting down south and people were basically just taking the opportunity to show what they think of the cuts in the UK. But truthfully nobody really knows why they are doing this. And even three men have been killed because of these riots.

But I was in tears when I saw the images posted on the BBC of the destruction these riots have caused and how people's livelihood and businesses have been destroyed by mindless thugs. I'm sorry to say that I'm somewhat dreading seeing what Manchester is like after this.

Though there is some good news. Around 1000 volunteers turned up on Wednesday and today to try and clean up the mess in the city centre and one man said:

"You may destroy my city, but you will never destroy the true spirit of Manchester."

THIS is the true spirit of England I think and kudos to all those that turned up to help clean up our city. I wish I could have done but I was told to stay away from the city until things have calmed down. And things do appear to have calmed down and over 100 arrests have been made. But I do hope they get punished with more than a slap on the wrist and a fine. These people have struck fear in people and have even put people's lives at risk.

But yes this pretty much sums up how I felt on Tuesday, though I am feeling better now about it as it appears to have calmed down. And lets hope it stays that way. I tried to make Tsuki look not only upset but also fearful and restless....though I'm not sure whether I succeeded . And her crescent moon is too big . I wanted to add some text but wasn't overly sure what until the song "Zombie" by the Cranberries started playing on my Itunes and that one line pretty much summed it all up for me. These people have no thoughts of what they have done and are indeed "zombies". I found a few photos on the BBC of the riots and tried to merge them together with a photo I took of a bonfire last year. I somewhat like the effect.

But yes, Stay safe everyone! Keep Calm and Carry on as they say <3.
